In 2011 The Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) launched the Make it in Great Britain campaign to champion the UK as a manufacturing nation. Captains of industry from world leading UK companies are backing the new Government campaign to highlight the best of modern British manufacturing at an exhibition during the Olympic Games.

The UK is one of the worlds largest manufacturers. The sector contributes £140bn pa to UK economy.  North Staffordshire plays a huge part in this and this event will highlight local success and is an opportunity to hear from a senior Minister from BIS, industry experts, network and find out what support and finance is available specifically for manufacturers.
